Goose Creek Wind is a proposed wind farm planned to be located in northern Piatt County, capable of producing 300 MW of clean, homegrown energy. Goose Creek Wind is expected to produce enough power for nearly 100,000 homes each year, while providing steady income for participating landowners and a significant source of tax revenue for the county.
A Christian, non for profit organization with the mission of eliminating domestic violence in Piatt County. We have a resale shop (217-762-2350) at 351 W. Monroe St. in Monticello that supports our domestic violence services. We gratefully accept donations of household goods, furniture, clothing, books, & tools. Volunteers are always welcome. Our business office and social services are provided at our Family Service Center located at 301 S. Charter St. in Monticello or by phone at 217-631-1018.
