The mission of the Monticello Theatre Association is to foster an appreciation of the performing arts. Inherent in this mission is providing performance opportunities and promoting education in music, dance, art and theater. The Monticello Theatre Association has produced dramatic, comedic and musical shows since 1975. The Association has awarded a scholarship each year to a deserving student of the arts. The Monticello Theatre Association, known more casually as the MTA, is a not-for-profit corporation registered with the State of Illinois. The theater is available for rent for private events.
Topics include, but are not limited to, leadership and supervisory training, computer training, safety training, quality improvement, green business practices, grant consulting, continuing education, and more.

A Christian, non for profit organization, running a resale shop with the ultimate goal of opening Piatt County's first domestic violence shelter. We gratefully accept donations of household goods, furniture, clothing, books, & tools. Volunteers are always welcome.
Hope Lives Rescue Ranch is a trauma-informed free mentoring service catering to at-risk youth. We offer 90-minute one-on-one sessions with a horse to help students between the age of 8-18 develop self-confidence and leadership skills.
The Piatt County Historical & Genealogical Society (PCHGS) helps preserve the history and heritage of Piatt County. The genealogy holdings are available for research. Genealogists are on site to help. Publications are available for purchase, prices are subject to change without notice.
